Easter 2013

We had an awesome, awesome Easter Sunday! Our church service was an amazing time of celebrating that Jesus is ALIVE! Our Easter tradition after church is to head to Fredericksburg for the day. And it also happened to be Tyler's mom's birthday so we were able to celebrate with her too! The Easter bunny visits Grandma's house, so the egg hunt was ready to go =) And Wyatt had such a blast! (I have to say that we went to the big easter egg hunt on Saturday at our church.... And that was not quite Wyatt's style! He was so antsy to go get the eggs but we had to wait until it was time, and then when it was time he threw himself on the grass and had a nice 2 year old tantrum, haha... there were just to many people and to much going on) So anyways, a hunt all by himself was right up his alley....

(You know how it's weird hearing your own voice on video.. yeah, that's how I feel about this one, LOL)

This picture makes me laugh... he was SO serious, lol

He loved opening them all up

He especially loved the ones that "crushed" and had "sprinkles"

He was saying, "RAIN!" =)

And this picture just makes my heart HAPPY...

Wyatt has been in a major anti-camera stage for a few months now. It has been impossible to get pictures of him (and with him), which is the main reason I also haven't blogged near as much! lol I have very few pictures since he turned 2. We figured we'd give it a try and I am SO happy to have a good (recent) family picture again =) Maybe he is coming out of his anti-camera phase!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating!

Happy 2013!

The first 2 weeks of the New Year have officially gone by in the blink of an eye! I have a few posts I need to get to, but I have to post at least a little something about Christmas! Surprisingly, my folder from Christmas Day has very few pictures!! (shocker, I know)  But that's because Wyatt wanted nothing to do with the camera.... he actually got MAD when I would try to take his picture, even while he was opening presents! Little stinker. I did manage to get a few that are worth sharing =)

Opening Presents

This was on the way to church, in his outfit from Great Aunt Debbie! His hands were covering the train so I said, "Let me see your train" and this is what he did, LOL..

As soon as we got home from church he wanted to paint with his new paint set!

During lunch, checking out the food tray my Grandparents sent from Minnesota

He picked out the 2 little pieces of candy (no, he did not get to eat them)

And that's all I have from Christmas Day! I'll just remember it was the year Wyatt wouldn't let me take pictures, lol We rung in the New Year with my mom and brother visiting us! Pics to follow...

Merry Christmas Eve! and a Birthday Video

Merry Christmas Eve! It's just me and little man today as Tyler is working until 7:30, which is kind of a bummer, but I'm thankful he has such an awesome job that is one of our biggest blessings in 2012 so it's ok =) He is off tomorrow and we will cook breakfast, open presents, go to church, and relax the rest of the day....

On Saturday, Wyatt had his 2nd mini birthday party with his Grandma and Grandpa here in Texas. He was MUCH more into opening his presents this time which was SO FUN. He even tried soo hard to blow out his candles! And of course I didn't get it on video, but Gammy did so I'll have to get it from her! We just had to post this video of Wyatt opening a present from my mom... He has never reacted to a present before like this so it was just hilarious! We have watched it over and over. It's really just the beginning of the video but I uploaded the whole thing...

THANK YOU SO MUCH to all our family (and friends!) who sent gifts for Wyatt's 2nd birthday. It made it SO special for him and us! =) Love to all!

Oh, Give Thanks

It's November for a few more hours! I still have time to do a Thanksgiving post, right?! ;) Just a little behind, as usual. =) Our Thanksgiving was spent in Fredricksburg with Tyler's mom and Gary, and, Ashly and Jason. We had a great visit with family, but unfortunately Wyatt was a little out of sorts... He's starting to come back around after a rough couple of weeks so it had to be teething. That teething stuff is no joke, whew.

Some pictures of our day....

Going across the street to see the sheep (only in Frederisckburg)

 Thanks Uncle Jason!

 Yummmm

Weeeeeeee

A trip to Gammy's isn't complete without a wheelbarrow ride!

Sweet Picture =)

Love it

=)

We got some good ones at the end!!

I loved this post over at SarahMarkley.com called "Fantasy and Reality." She talks about how we envision how holidays and certain events will go and it is usually "perfect" in our minds and that rarely matches up with reality. I've been particularly guilty of this now having Wyatt... but the truth is, little ones are so unpredictable and things aren't near as "perfect" as we plan for them to be! Wyatt screamed the majority of the night keeping us and Aunt Ashly and Uncle Jason awake... we felt SO bad, but we tried everything we could. LOL Such is life. And that doesn't mean those things aren't good... because they are! It's just real life, but there is still so much JOY to be had!

This year I am particularly thankful for our HEALTH (and the health of all of my family!)... we are all healthy, happy, and whole. I have been hearing so many stories of sickness, cancer, surgeries and even death. Health is something we take for granted until something happens. So I am giving lots of praise to God for blessing us with our health!

HAPPY (late) THANKSGIVING!

Happy Halloween!!

What a fun night!! Wyatt's first trick-or-treating experience! We went to a friend's house to trick-or-treat with Wyatt's best friend, Garrett. These boys are 3 days apart and just so cute together. I can hardly stand it. They play together, laugh at each other, give high fives, and say each other's name =) What gifts they are..... And who would have known that 22 month olds could trick-or-treat so well!! After the first house, they figured out what they needed to do. Garrett was great at knocking on the door and then they would just stand and wait, get their treats, say thank you and wave bye and go on to the next house. So much fun with these 2! Enjoy the pics...

Happy Halloween! Love to all =)
