Bullet Points

  • Mr. is out camping in the Big Bend National Park with 4 other guys... he gets cell phone service occasionally and he called and left me the sweetest voice mail this morning <3
  • I (finally!) started taking pictures of the house.
  • On Wyatt's activity mat, I found that if I put his feet under the hanging toys (instead of his hands) he stays entertained MUCH longer, hehe
  • I can't believe he is doing this!!! :

  • And this!:
  • I've started meal planning again... planning each meal for the week, making the grocery list based off those meals, and sticking ONLY to the list at the grocery store!
  • Speaking of meals, I plan on homemaking Wyatt's baby food. Sound hard? Not with this nifty thing that I got a really good deal on on EBay!

  • And related to that, we have been researching container vegetable gardens.. growing vegetables (and fruits) in pots on our apartment patio. I LOVE fresh produce out of a garden, but it has also been my experience that I KILL plants of every kind =/ We don't plan on spending a lot of money to get it started, first I have to make sure the vegetables actually grow =)
  • My first Mother's Day is coming up and that makes my <3 happy :)
  • These are the best snack ever:
  • We are currently reading "Bringing Up Boys" by Dr. James Dobson. We read a chapter together out loud every night after Wyatt goes down... we've done this our whole marriage, just thought I'd share our current book.

Happy 4 months!

Wyatt...

  • Weighs (over) 14 lbs 4 oz and is (over) 25 inches long (he got weighed and measured last week)

  • Wears size 2 diapers

  • Wears 6 month onsies, 6 month sleepers, and mostly 6 month clothes (a few are 3-6 months)... I have to admit that I cried packing up his 3 month clothes.. can I please just stop the clock?? =( At this rate he'll be in 9 month clothes this summer!

  • Has bathtime between 6:00/6:30 and is down for the night at 6:30/7:00. We've tried to keep him up later but that is just his body's internal bedtime, lol. He has 1 night feeding, 6 oz bottle, between 2:00 and 3:00, then goes back to sleep until 6:30-7:00 in the morning. His nighttime sleep is awesome!

  • Naps are still a struggle. Not really a "struggle" I guess, he goes right down, but he doesn't nap longer than 45 minutes. His average is about 35 minutes. Can that even be considered a nap? lol He takes several of these catnaps throughout the day.

  • Rolls over from his tummy to his back! And is working very hard to roll over from his back to his tummy.

  • Watches us very closely when we are eating and drinking... several times he has started crying for his bottle when he saw me drinking. Cracked. us. up. And he recognizes his bottle now as we are making it and shaking the formula.

  • Reaches for toys that held in front of him or hanging above him.

  • Loves to look at his feet and tries to bring them up to his face, especially during diaper changes.

  • Sits up when being held and pushes up his legs to stand up when being held

  • Loves to be outside or out and about shopping and doing errands... if he's fussy we just leave the house for a little bit and walk around stores =)

And here is the back of the outfit he is wearing in this month's picture....

Wyatt, life with you just keeps getting better and better!

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

A little background before the video... Last Monday, April 4th, when I went to get Wyatt from his nap he had rolled over for the first time, it completely shocked me! He had rolled from his tummy to his back (yes, he sleeps on his tummy, it's the only way he'll sleep) He went on to roll over 6 more times throughout the week with neither of us seeing him do it!! We would even watch him after his nap and he wouldn't do it, but if we left and came back he had rolled over!
The other day I was doing laundry and Mr. was watching Wyatt play in the living room. He shouted, "Come here... and grab the video camera!" This was the very first time we saw him roll over, hence, my gasp and our excitement, lol.

Settled...

Hey everyone,
I suppose an apology is due for the lack of posting lately.. we have been very busy with unpacking and setting up our new home. Not to mention, we have been without internet (and cable) for a whole week...yes, a WHOLE WEEK!!! (Which can partially explain the reason we are completely finished setting everything up :))

We are loving San Antonio and already feel that we are "home." All of our favorite restauraunts are here (except Larry's Subs), we are getting to know our local HEB (the grocery stores here for all of you non-Texans ;)), and we have started visiting churches. Keep us in your prayers as we search for our new church home.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are back up and running! Pictures of our new house have been requested so we'll be back soon with a post on the house and also with Wyatt's latest trick!
