Sunday Funday!

Yesterday (Sunday) was the first chance we got to celebrate Tyler passing his big flight test of the semester! We had such a fun day! We started out the day with church and then came home for lunch and naps (of course!). Then we headed out! I had to get my bi-annual inspection/cleaning done on my rings and the Zales is out at LaCantera, which is a big outdoor mall type of place, so we decided to make an afternoon of it since we never go to that area of town. We stopped by Babies R Us and got Wyatt a pair of sunglasses.

Then we headed to Bass Pro Shop just to look around... it's like an indoor "zoo"..kinda, lol

 We stopped for a snack outside... this lucky little guy got to taste my snowcone! 

After we walked around the mall a little bit, we went out for dinner at the Alamo Cafe.

And then this was taken right after he bit off a huge chunk of green crayon.. you can see it in his mouth, lol

We absolutely loved the Alamo Cafe!! The most amazing tortillas!! On the way to the car, Wyatt had to stop and grab a couple handfuls of rocks and dirt...

We still had some time to kill before bath, so we stopped by the park on our way home

Our Sunday was the perfect start to a new week! 

Last Weekend in San Angelo

I was going to post about our weekend, but I thought I should probably post about last weekend first! We spent last weekend in San Angelo staying with Uncle Kirby and Aunt Stacey... we always joke that it's a mini vacation when we visit them. They have a nice big comfy house, with a pool, Wyatt gets his own room and we get our own room, they keep us well fed, and we just hang out and visit =) Oh and compared to where we live, we feel like we are way out in the country! =)
We got there on Friday and Wyatt wanted to get right in the pool! He took a little "dip" and then we had dinner and went on an evening walk

Saturday morning we checked out the new San Angelo library, which I have to say, was very nice!! They did a really great job! The whole bottom level is the children's section so that's where we spent most of our time =)

Next, we headed to a park. A very BIG park! Wyatt was on the move so it was hard to snap pictures of him!

 We went home for lunch and naps and then Wyatt and I went to visit one of my very best friends, Erin, while Tyler and his uncle did something gun related.. ? lol Erin has 2 boys and 1 girl so it is always so much fun to bring Wyatt over to play =)

(The boys had a blast with the pot of dirt! I felt so bad, Erin's house was so clean when we got there and a mess when we left!)

Saturday night, Kirby and Stacey watched Wyatt for us and we went out to dinner with Erin and her husband, Chaz. We had such a nice time out! After dinner we all went for coffee so we could keep chatting just a little longer. I'm so mad at myself, I didn't take any pictures! lol But we really had a great time! 

Sunday was our last day there and Kirby and Tyler shot out at the gun range. Stacey, and Wyatt, and I surprised them later in the afternoon and drove out there to see them!

Then we headed back to San Antonio! We are so thankful for time spent with family. 

Last week, Tyler passed his big flight test of the semester to get his instrument rating. He has just under 2 weeks left of this semester, including finals, and then he has a nice break until summer semester. This Spring semester has been a LONG, rough semester so I know he is ready for a break!

Pool Day

On Tuesday, we headed to the pool for the first time this year! That's one good thing about living in an apartment complex.. pool within walking distance =) The water was sooooo cold, but the sun was warm so it worked out. Wyatt didn't mind a bit. I have a video from when we first got there... it was nice and relaxing. Then he got comfortable in the water and was making me nervous! I can't wait to get his swim lessons started this year. (June) When it was time to go, I was that mom with the screaming, flailing toddler who didn't want to leave, haha. I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of time at the pool this summer!

Our Weekend

We had a pretty laid back weekend, but I thought I'd share a few pics and video of Wyatt. Saturday morning we were up and out of the house by 8:30 to do some trail walking and park fun! I snapped this picture as we were walking along the trail because everything is so green!! Last year when we moved here, everything was dry and brown because of the drought (it's hard to believe we have lived here exactly 1 year already!) We've been getting a decent amount of rain this Spring, I guess, because the bluebonnets are in full bloom and everything is so pretty!

This morning we went to church, came home for lunch and naps, then the Mr. took Wyatt out this afternoon so I could have a quiet house to myself for a little bit. Love my boys so much! Here's Wyatt with his backpack ready for church!

And now for a couple videos. He's finally blowing kisses! I don't think it will ever get old either <3 (I was trying to get him to point to body parts at the beginning)

In this last one, he is showing off his climbing "skills" ... I can't keep my eyes off of him for a second!

He is becoming quite the silly, energetic little boy! He loves rough and tumble play and is just so physical! Maybe that's all toddlers.. ? I don't know! I think it's a boy thing though. A hug involves pulling my hair and ears, a kiss is often a headbutt, if he wants my attention he pullllls on my arms and legs and just haaangs on me, lol. And I love every bit of it!

And some exciting news! (to me anyways)... the blog is getting a makeover! It's pretty clear that "the Mr." hasn't posted in a long time and I don't see a change in that anytime soon with his flight school right now, so pretty soon I'll have a whole new theme =)

Easter Pics - Part 2

After the Easter Egg Hunt, we ate our Easter meal... Wyatt needed a clothes change and then we went back outside to play! It was the most beautiful day! We did bubbles...

Then, the Mr. got the bright idea to do some wheelbarrow racing! Wyatt climbed right in and was ready to go, lol

He absolutely loved it! It seemed to be his favorite part of the whole day. The kid loves a thrill. ahhhhhh, lol

And of course, it had to be topped off with playing with the hose

And then of course, another clothes change, lol. It's a good thing I brought 3 sets of clothes! Last time we went to Gammy's house, Wyatt played in the dirt and the time before that it was a bucket of water... I'm starting to see a trend here! Get dirty at Gammy's house! =) What an awesome Easter! It just keeps getting more and more fun the older Wyatt gets!
