Happy Halloween!!

What a fun night!! Wyatt's first trick-or-treating experience! We went to a friend's house to trick-or-treat with Wyatt's best friend, Garrett. These boys are 3 days apart and just so cute together. I can hardly stand it. They play together, laugh at each other, give high fives, and say each other's name =) What gifts they are..... And who would have known that 22 month olds could trick-or-treat so well!! After the first house, they figured out what they needed to do. Garrett was great at knocking on the door and then they would just stand and wait, get their treats, say thank you and wave bye and go on to the next house. So much fun with these 2! Enjoy the pics...

Happy Halloween! Love to all =)

MOPS Convention 2012

As I've mentioned before, I am on the steering committee for my MOPS group for the 2012-2013 year. Last weekend, a group of 9 of us went to the annual MOPS International Convention at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Dallas! I was not originally signed up to go but another lady had to drop at the last minute so I snatched up the empty spot. I am so. glad. I was able to go. Tyler was able to stay home with Wyatt so that wasn't an issue. And our MOPS group is so fortunate in that our budget covered everyone's registration and hotel rooms... we just had to pay for our food! Can't beat that.

Our 3 days at convention consisted of 4 general sessions, several workshops, morning praise and worship, Matthew West concert, shopping, eating, lounging by the pool, and lots and lots of chatting =) I really didn't know any of the girls that went but got to know a few of them very well and I am so, so thankful for that!! It was such a blast! We heard from some amazing speakers (Lisa Harper, Kay Warren, Shauna Niequist - check out her blog!) and got introduced to so many awesome resources to help us along this wild parenting adventure ;) Now for the pictures.....

I GOT TO MEET CHRISTY NOCKELS!!! (She led the worship for the entire convention... sooooo amazing! I've alwasy loved her!)

Alecia and Lauren

 Alison, Jenny, and Katherine

With Rachel and Heather assembling a box for Operation Christmas Child

Relaxing by the Lazy River.... without having to wrangle children! LOL

Our Group

Jenny and Alison are our Coordinators for the year

This was my first time away from Wyatt overnight and surprisingly I did just fine =) (And he did too, of course!) We were actually really busy so there wasn't a lot of time to mope over missing our little ones, lol. Tyler had a blast having him all to himself for 3 days, best Daddy ever ;) I love the MOPS organization and everything it stands for. And to think I almost didn't join last year because I'm "shy".... I'm sure glad I got over that because I have met some awesome friends and so has Wyatt!!

Friends, Tomatoes, and Everything in Between

We had a busy week! Monday night I had a MOPS event called "Pass the Torch" where we officially passed on the leadership from this year's steering team to next year's steering team. I am going to be one of the MOPPETS Coordinators along with 3 other ladies. I totally didn't think to bring my camera that night.
Tuesday night we got together for dinner and fellowship with friends from church.... It is important to note here that all 5 families that were there have toddlers born all within 2 months of each other!!! (they are all in the same nursery room at church) The guys were peacefully chatting outside in peace and quiet while we were trying to watch 5 toddlers play without doing bodily harm to each other =)

 Wyatt's "twin", Garrett

This is Wyatt's signature face... really friendly, huh? lol ... and sweet Caroline
Just missing Emily in this one...

Buddies

I kind of slacked on getting pictures of adults, lol. We were also able to pick the first 2 tomatoes this week!

I'm not sure if we picked them to early or to late, but they were only halfway good. The half that was good, was really good though! =) There are 3 more growing. I am going to have to declare my first attempt at container gardening a success! (for me anyways!)

Tyler finished his finals this week and we had our last MOPS meeting of the year. Bible Study is already wrapped up too! So it is "officially" summer for us =) WOOHOO

Tyler has a couple weeks off until he starts the summer semester and he'll be full time all summer. For now... we are counting down the days until we fly to Georgia!!!!! Can. not. wait to see my family! And not only my parents and little bro, but also my big bro, sisinlaw, and neice and nephew who we haven't seen in over a year!! Wyatt was just 3 months old when they last saw him! 13 more days.....!

Easter Egg Hunt

Yesterday morning we were supposed to have an Easter Egg Hunt with our MOPS group. I think about 50 people responded that they planned to attend. But it rained Wednesday night and they ended up having to cancel it because the ground was too wet. So that was a bummer, but thankfully Laura opened up her home and invited just our table over to her house to do a hunt inside... picnic and all! It ended up being me with Wyatt, Kelly with her 2 (Luke and Becky), and then of course Laura (with Avery). It is amazing how with only 4 little ones it can be so crazy! lol ... especially toddlers I guess =) But we had a blast!

 Teasing the dogs, lol
Luke and Becky ready for the hunt!

Wyatt figured out right away what he was supposed to do... so cute!

 Looking and thinking..

I think Becky sat down and opened the first egg she found, lol

Checking out what he found!

 Cheerios, hehe

This is blurry, but, Luke started running around and it got Wyatt so excited, he ran around right behind him =)

These 2 couldn't get enough of the stairs, lol

And our attempt(s) at getting a group shot. These make me laugh, so much fun with these little ones =)

Avery swiping Luke's egg when he's not looking, haha

Seems like we had a busy week.... the Mr. has to do a cross country flight tomorrow (Saturday) so me and the little guy are just going to chill out at home all day!
